A business lockout in Agua Dulce rarely looks like one in a dense city. There may be no strip of storefronts and no neighboring tenant with a spare key. More often it is a detached shop on acreage, a tack room or barn office, a tasting-room door off Sierra Highway, or a hangar at the Agua Dulce Airpark. When the key is missing, the lock fails, or a door will not open at the start of the day, you need someone who comes to the property instead of asking you to find a storefront.

Crenshaw Lock Company is fully mobile. We have no shop for you to visit, and we are available 24/7, including nights, weekends and holidays. David Shar has run the business since 1987, and the work is built around commercial entry: getting into the building with as little damage as possible, then making sure the lock still works and the property is secure when we leave.

Because Agua Dulce is rural and spread out, we talk through the situation by phone first. We ask what kind of door and lock you have, whether anyone is still inside, and how to find the property, since gated driveways and long private roads are common here. That helps us arrive prepared rather than guessing.

How it works in Agua Dulce

  1. 1

    Call and describe the situation

Call (323) 997-8867 any time. Tell us the type of building, the kind of door (glass storefront, steel, roll-up, hangar or gate), and what happened. Tell us whether a key is lost, broken or stuck, and whether an alarm or animals are involved.

  2. 2

    Confirm you can authorize entry

Before opening a business door, we confirm that you are the owner, manager or an authorized tenant. This protects you and the property. Have some identification or proof of your connection to the business ready.

  3. 3

Get the location and access details

Agua Dulce properties often sit behind gates or down long drives off roads like Agua Dulce Canyon Rd, Escondido Canyon Rd or Davenport Rd. We ask for gate codes or directions, and for a good callback number in case cell coverage drops.

  4. 4

    Non-destructive entry first

We evaluate the lock and try to open it without damage, using picking, bypass or specialty entry tools suited to commercial hardware. Drilling is a last resort, used only when the lock is damaged or high-security hardware leaves no practical alternative.

  5. 5

Repair, rekey or replace if needed

If the lock is worn, broken or the key is lost, we can rekey or replace it on the spot so the door is not left weak. If keys went missing, rekeying also ensures the lost key no longer works.

  6. 6

Secure the property before we leave

We test the door, latch and any related hardware, and confirm everything locks properly. Then we discuss steps like key control or upgraded hardware if they make sense for your property.

What affects the price

  • The type of lock and door: a standard commercial cylinder differs from a high-security lock, panic hardware, a hangar door lock or a weathered gate latch.
  • Whether the lock can be opened without damage, or must be drilled or repaired, which changes labor and parts.
  • Time of day: after-hours, weekend and holiday calls are handled around the clock, and the timing can affect the quote.
  • Distance and access: Agua Dulce is spread out, and remote parcels, long driveways and gated entries can affect travel and setup.
  • Whether you only need entry or also want rekeying, replacement hardware or additional keys made on site.
  • The number of locks involved, such as a main building, detached shop, barn and gate, all needing attention in one visit.

Why Agua Dulce chooses us

  • Fully mobile and available 24/7, so a lockout at a remote property or after hours is not a problem of finding an open storefront.
  • In business since 1987, which means long experience with the commercial locks, older hardware and mixed setups found on rural properties.
  • Comfortable with ranch-style buildings: barns, tack rooms, detached shops, hangars, gates and padlocks that have taken years of desert dust and sun.
  • Non-destructive entry is the first approach, so we try to protect your doors, frames and hardware.
  • We can rekey or replace locks during the same visit, so you are not left with a door that closes but is no longer secure.
  • We are straightforward about what we can do by phone, and we explain the work and cost factors before we begin.

Business Lockout across Agua Dulce

Agua Dulce sits in the high desert foothills of Los Angeles County, and its businesses reflect that. Along Sierra Highway you find the Agua Dulce Winery at 9640 Sierra Highway and a mix of small shops and offices in the Agua Dulce townsite. Out toward Sweetwater and the canyon roads, commercial needs often mean horse-boarding operations, ranch offices, workshops and storage buildings. Visitors heading to Vasquez Rocks Natural Area Park or hiking the Pacific Crest Trail pass through town as well, which keeps some hospitality and service businesses busy outside normal hours.

The Agua Dulce Airpark brings its own lock situations: private hangars, hangar-door locks, and fly-in properties where a lockout can interrupt more than a normal workday. If you are locked out in ZIP code 91390, whether in the townsite, at the Airpark, or on a parcel off Agua Dulce Canyon Rd, Escondido Canyon Rd or Davenport Rd, we come to you rather than asking you to travel.

We also see the practical wear of the area. Dust and heat can stiffen padlocks and gate latches, and long driveways mean gates are often the first line of security. Many people reach us from CA-14 (Antelope Valley Fwy) and the surrounding roads after a late return, so we are set up to help at any hour. Call (323) 997-8867 and we will sort out the access details together.

Do I need to visit your shop?
No. We are fully mobile and have no storefront. We come to your business, shop, hangar or ranch property in Agua Dulce.
Can you open a hangar door at the Agua Dulce Airpark?
We can help with hangar-door lock problems. Tell us the type of door and lock when you call (323) 997-8867 so we can come prepared.
Will you damage my door or lock?
We try non-destructive entry first, using picking and bypass methods. Drilling is only a last resort when a lock is damaged or no practical alternative exists.
Do you need proof that I own or manage the business?
Yes. We confirm you are authorized to have the door opened before we begin, which protects you and the property. Have identification or proof of your connection ready.
Can you help with gates and padlocks at an equestrian property?
Yes. Dust and weather wear out gate latches and padlocks. We can open, repair or replace them, as well as barn and tack room locks.
What affects the cost of a business lockout?
The main factors are lock and door type, whether entry is non-destructive, time of day, distance and access, and whether you also want rekeying or new hardware. We do not quote prices on this page, but you can call (323) 997-8867 to discuss your situation.
Should I rekey after a lost key at my business?
Often, yes. Rekeying makes the lost key useless and is typically a practical way to restore security. We can usually do it during the same visit.
