Access control in Agua Dulce looks different from what you would put in a downtown office. Businesses here are often spread across acreage: a winery tasting room off Sierra Highway, an equestrian operation with a tack room and feed barn, a hangar shop at the Agua Dulce Airpark, or a home-based business in a detached building. Keys get copied, handed to seasonal staff, lent to contractors and never returned. A keypad, card or fob system lets you decide who can enter, and take that access away without replacing a single cylinder.

Crenshaw Lock Company has served Greater Los Angeles and Ventura County since 1987, and owner and lead technician David Shar has seen how quickly a loose key situation grows into a real security problem. We install the hardware that controls the entrance, whether that is a standalone keypad lock, a card or fob reader, or an electrified lock tied to a reader, and we explain how it works in plain language so you are not guessing later.

We are mobile only, with no storefront to visit. We travel to your entrance, look at the door, the frame, the power situation and how your people actually come and go, and then recommend something sensible. In rural country with long driveways, dust, heat and temperature swings, durability and simplicity matter as much as features.

How it works in Agua Dulce

  1. 1

Talk through the entrance and who needs access

Call (323) 997-8867 and tell us about the door, how many people use it and whether they come and go on a schedule. A ranch office with two people has different needs than a shop shared by several tenants.

  2. 2

Inspect the door, frame and power

We come to the property and check the door material, frame, existing hardware and whether power is nearby. Metal, wood and glass doors, and outbuildings with no wiring, each steer the choice of system.

  3. 3

    Choose keypad, card or fob

Keypad codes suit small groups. Cards and fobs suit larger teams, since one lost credential can be disabled without touching the others. We lay out the tradeoffs and let you decide.

  4. 4

    Install and secure the hardware

We mount the lock or reader, prepare the door where needed, connect any electrified hardware and make sure the door latches and closes properly. Weather exposure is considered for outdoor readers.

  5. 5

    Program users and test

We set up codes, cards or fobs, test each one, and confirm the door behaves correctly when locked, unlocked and during a power interruption.

  6. 6

    Walk you through management

We show you how to add and remove users and what to do if a credential is lost, so you are not dependent on a callback for routine changes.

What affects the price

  • Type of system: a standalone keypad lock is a simpler job than a networked card or fob reader controlling an electrified lock.
  • Number of doors and users, since more entrances and credentials mean more hardware and programming time.
  • Door and frame condition and material, which may require preparation, reinforcement or alignment before hardware holds up.
  • Power and wiring availability, which can be a real consideration at barns, hangars and detached shops on acreage.
  • Exposure to dust, sun and weather, which may call for rugged or weather-rated hardware on outdoor entrances.
  • Travel distance to remote parcels and whether the work is scheduled or needed outside normal hours.

Why Agua Dulce chooses us

  • Fully mobile and available 24/7, so installs and urgent fixes come to your property rather than the other way around.
  • Serving the region since 1987, with owner and lead tech David Shar involved in how the work is done.
  • Recommendations fitted to rural properties, including outbuildings, long driveways and dusty conditions, rather than a one-size office package.

  • No storefront overhead pitch: we work at your door, with the actual conditions in front of us.

Access Control across Agua Dulce

Agua Dulce is rural equestrian and ranch country, and its businesses reflect that. In the Agua Dulce townsite, along Sierra Highway near the Agua Dulce Winery at 9640 Sierra Highway, entrances are often shared by owners, staff and vendors. In Sweetwater, custom homes on acreage frequently have detached shops, barns and tack rooms that benefit from controlled entry. ZIP code 91390 covers a wide, spread-out area, so we plan around the distances involved.

The Agua Dulce Airpark is its own world, a fly-in community where homes sit beside private aircraft hangars. Hangar entrances and attached shops can be good candidates for keypad or fob entry, so pilots, family and mechanics get access without sharing a physical key. Properties off Agua Dulce Canyon Rd, Escondido Canyon Rd and Davenport Rd often have gated driveways, outbuildings and well pump sheds that deserve thought too.

Whether you reach us from CA-14 or the quieter roads near Vasquez Rocks Natural Area Park, we come to you. Dust, summer heat and open exposure are hard on electronics and latches, so we choose hardware with those conditions in mind. Call (323) 997-8867 any hour.

Access Control in Agua Dulce — FAQs

What kinds of access control do you install for Agua Dulce businesses?
We install keypad, card and fob systems for business entrances. We help you pick based on how many people need access, how often it changes and what power is available at the door. Call (323) 997-8867 to discuss your setup.
Can access control work on a barn, hangar or detached shop?
Often yes. Standalone keypad locks and battery-powered options can suit outbuildings with no wiring. Hangars and shops near the Agua Dulce Airpark may allow more options if power is available. We assess the door and conditions first.
Is a keypad or a fob better for my business?
Keypads work well for small groups and need no credentials to carry. Fobs and cards suit larger or changing teams, because a lost one can be disabled individually. We explain the tradeoffs for your situation.
Will dust and heat damage the hardware?
Desert dust, sun and temperature swings are hard on exposed hardware. We favor durable, weather-appropriate products for outdoor entrances and position readers to limit exposure where we can.
Do you come out to remote properties?
Yes. We are fully mobile and serve Agua Dulce, including parcels off Agua Dulce Canyon Rd, Escondido Canyon Rd and Davenport Rd. There is no storefront, so we travel to you. Call (323) 997-8867.
How is the price determined?
It depends on system type, number of doors and users, door and frame condition, power availability, weather exposure and travel distance. We discuss these factors and explain the work before starting.
Can I add or remove users myself after installation?
In most systems, yes. We walk you through adding and removing codes, cards or fobs so routine changes do not need a visit.
Are you available outside business hours?
Yes, we operate 24/7. If an access system fails or a door will not secure, call (323) 997-8867 at any hour.
